I heard Q100 was involved with the payola thing (for John Mayer songs, I think) -- do you know if any other ATL radio stations are deep into this?

I haven't heard anything specific, but I'd bet all of the ones on the FM dial (Fish included) with the exceptions of NPR and maybe DAVE FM. That doesn't mean they all were caught, but it's been an open secret for ages.

Marathon! Such awesome games.

I only got a chance to play (and beat, and oh-so-happily-finally-beat) the first two (well, also a cracked pre-release alpha, my real first exposure to the games, but that doesn't really count), but they are the standard I still hold single-player FPS games to (possibly, I admit, because I've never played the Half-Life games).

If I had a machine I thought it would run on... somewhere in the basement is a 7100/66 of dubious functionality, but that struggled at times with Marathon II.

I'm also reminded of the amusing weapon names (unless I'm misremembering or imagining things, those had to be intentional) - the TOZT flame thrower and such. Simple things, but they added to the enjoyment of the game. Oh, and the BoBs. Heh, poor bastards.
