Happy Saturday

Happy, because I'm feeling mostly better (still have some cold symptoms, but I've got my appetite back, and don't feel weak when I walk), and because I have coffee, which really is the source of all happiness.

Big news of the day, of course, is that this is laurel and kaustin's wedding day! Hooray! Congrats! Anyone attending the Twins game today will, effectively, be attending their ceremony.

Good news: FedEx didn't fuck up the comics shipment. Which is especially good, as it contained the latest Fables.

Watched the first two eps of the new Dr. Who last night, and I finally get what the fuss is about. I was never a huge fan of the series before, but they've cast it perfectly here, and it balances '60s cheese with '00s snark nicely.

Recorded, but still haven't watched, Threshold. It might blow, but I'm curious enough to watch the first episode because I like Carla Gugino a lot (even if the last water-themed film of hers, She-Creature, was god-awful), and because it has Data in it.

Not much else of note. It's Saturday, thus things are slow. Off to read more comics.

Threshold was cheesy, but I actually enjoyed it quite a lot.

Threshold is decidedly uninteresting. The blatant attempt to have "INTERESTING CHARACTERS" means they all end up being cliches of what you would expect "INTERESTING CHARACTERS" to be. The sad part is that the cast is pretty good, but they're spending all of their time trying to bring some reality to the characters. It is an impossible task.
