question for Austin-based people

(I know that there are a handful of you down there, although I don't know how tuned in to the local music scene you are.)

According to her website, Trish Murphy, one of my favorite singers ever, is now performing (or has recorded at least one song with) a group called The New Hot Damn. But other than the one clip of one of their songs on a page linked from Trish's main page, I can't find any info on them. Can anyone tell me anything about them, including whether there are any albums yet or on the way?

ETA: Thanks to the l33t search skills of ausie_nyc, I found this performance by them, at least.

ETA 2: And this one by Trish is quite awesome.

Although their priot name was just Braless, it seems. On the Rooftop seems to be the gimmick of a local station that gets bands to tape performances on their building.

I wouldn't mind checking out Crowley. Murphy is the only member of the band that I've got any familiarity with.

*nods* We have a lot more Murphy, and are deeply fond of her. We picked up the Crowley from CD Baby a ways back, pretty much at random. Definitely going to have to give it another listen at some point. Sadly, we don't know anything at all about Renee Woodward (though she's on CD Baby too, so that might be worth remembering next full moon).

The New Hot Damn is Kacy Crowley, Trish Murphy, Renee Woodward. I haven't seen them performing together as this group yet. They're playing a Naral-Pro Choice benefit in Austin this Wednesday, info at this site (http://progressiveaustin.org/events.htm), then at The Saxon Pub here in Austin on Oct. 29th. I can't find any more scheduled performance dates or CD info for them, but I'll let ya know if I do.

Yet another interesection of interests... Back in the day (probably 12 years ago now) I ran sound for Trish & Darin a few times in Houston. I knew she'd moved to try to "make it big", but hadn't gotten around to trying to look her up yet since I moved back. Now I've got some new targets for my music calendar.
