Tenacious D have a dvd out, with a concert and all their videos and MORE.

Anyway the concert. They open with the funniest acoustic version of the Flash theme (Queen's that is, not Shipp's) ever tried.

Was quite a fun show, although I wouldn't swear that my geeky tastes at 18 match with my current geeky tastes.

If nothing else, it's a chance to see Mark Hamil playing a DC baddie before he became The Joker.

I fear that your current geeky tastes will pronounce this show as badly, badly dated.

I used to enjoy it, but I watched a few with the kids last year and it feels uncomfortably more like action TV from the 1970s than a 1990s drama. You've really got to have the nerd-blinders on to like this; even the fan-pleasing episodes like the ones with the Trickster, Nightshade, Captain Cold and Mirror Master are slow-paced and stodgy, and rely waaaay too much on wacky comic relief sidekicks and not-funny ohmigawsh Barry can do normal household chores really fast scenes. The non-fan-pleasing episodes without costumed bad guys are agonizing, and oh, guess what? They do a time travel episode and a cloning episode! Isn't that original?!

Also, Amanda Pays is the worst actress in the universe.

I remember enjoying the show until it jumped the shark by doing a silly time travel episode.

This was before I knew much about the Flash. I mean, the guy can't help falling through time. He does it constantly.
