Max (older, smarter Chocolate Point Siamese): Hey, Jack, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop yendi's hand?

Jack (younger, dumber Tuxedo Cat): I don't know. Let's find out. One, two, three, four, five . . . . . . . .

(five minutes later)

Jack: 898, 899, 900, 901. . .

Me: Jesus Christ, cat, don't you ever get bored?

Jack: 905, 906, 907. . .

Me: Gah! Stop it! *yanks hand away*

Jack (continuing to lick his side, which was right below my hand): 912, 913, 914. . .

At least he didn't try chomping.
