So, as for my take on the poll from yesterday:

1. I prefer Le Tigre. Not that I dislike Bikini Kill at all, but Le Tigre's the one I'm more like to call up in iTunes.

2. The only one of those that I have is Snoop Dog's cover of "We Will Rock You." As for the others, "Hard Knock Life" is kitch, but gets old real fast -- it took me years to realize that Jay Z was actually a decent rapper after that. I'm still not convinced that Puff Daddy is a good rapper. And covering "Have You Seen Her" was just a bad idea on Hammer's part.

3. My personal choice is Mulan, but Aladdin is right behind it. And honestly, the only "bad" choices on this list were, imho, The Rescuers Down Under, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Suck, and Hercules.

4. I'm checking out the mashups now. Thanks muchly!

5. I was surprised here. I like MC Pee Pants, of course, but Hesh is just the Man. Plus, he's gotten a lot more screen time. That said, no wrong choices here. Although I wasn't really expecting the Eltingville 'toon to even be remembered.

I was torn between Mulan and Aladdin myself but went with Aladdin based on the reason that Jafar is a scarier villain than Genghis-Khan-Type-Guy.

I thought the updated Fantasia was the most amazing thing Disney had ever done. But I'm a sap for baby flying whales and flamingos with yo-yos.

Choice 1) was very difficult. I finally went the "old school represent" way. (Mind you, Ms. Hanna *is* one of my hometown heroes--along with Ian Mackaye--and used to live around the corner from me.) I'm very sorry that I missed Le Tigre when they played down on the Mall after the peace march...but the march AND the Book Festival in one day kicked my ass ("old school" indeed, oy!)

I'm not a big Disney person, but I picked "Rescuers Down Under" for sentimental reasons -- I watched that thing over and over again with my brothers.
