Election Day
Nov. 8th, 2005 11:00 amRemember, folks, "Election Day" isn't just a crappy song by the three lesser members of Duran Duran, it's a civic duty.
Most of the states don't have high-profile elections (unless you're in VA, NJ, NYC, or a few other places), but those local elections are important, too.
(I'm voting after work myself, as my walk home from the bus goes right by the polling place).

Date: 2005-11-08 04:36 pm (UTC)There is one person running for mayor.
There are THREE people running for FOUR council slots.
Brand me a communist, but I'm not bothering to vote. At least not in this election. When they have the special election to fill the council seat that won't be filled today, then I might consider voting.

Date: 2005-11-08 06:02 pm (UTC)Then again, it is Jersey politics. It's not a question of which one is less ethical, more corrupt, more beholden to party bosses, etc. The question is simply *how* each one will show those qualities.
