No, not the Miike masterpiece. The adaption of the cheesecakiest game ever. Trailer located here, ganked from digriz.

And yes, I do plan on seeing it, even though I know it might well suck. Why? For one, it's not directed by Uwe Boll. Two, the cast includes Collin Chou, Devon Aoki (Miho in Sin City), Jaime Pressley, Robin Shou, and (for kitsch value alone) Eric Roberts and Kevin Nash. Three, it's directed by Corey Yuen, who directed The Transporter and High Risk, possibly my favorite Jet Li movie. And four, it clearly isn't trying to take itself seriously.

Do I expect it to be good? No. Do I expect it to be fun? Yes.

that's awesome.

of course it could suck, but if it's as cheesy and as fun as of many of the other films Yuen has made, it'll rock.

I'm hoping maybe something like HERO, but funnier and of course with a bunch of American girls.

The only annoying thing might be Pressly... I mean, she eventually does grate, fun for maybe 10 minutes and then ALLRIGHT ALREADY!

I had the good fortune of seeing that film in the theater back in the mid-90s, presumably not too long after it had come out in Asia, because of a Hong Kong film festival Eugene's Bijou Cinema hosted. (My being a geek for Die Hard made the fun even better.) I still remember the bathroom scene where the Jackie Chan wimpy stand-in Frankie winds up pissing next to one of the thugs, and the thug's piss comes out making MUCH more noise. He must crap bigger than him, too. ;-)

I also saw Jet Li's The Tai Chi Master and, of course, Drunken Master II (not re-edted! and with the original music!) at that theater. Ahh, college towns...
