Well, the fever broke yesterday (I was back down to sub-98.6 temps this morning), so, although I'm not feeling perfect, I'm well enough to be at work.

And caught up on some TV:

Veronica Mars: Holy shit! I mean, holy fucking shit!

Okay, I did not see that ending coming. And I should have. I mean, wow. It explains so much about what's been going on with Duncan, and adds tons to the plotlines for Meg and her family as well. Wow. And did anyone watch the alternate ending online? I'm glad they stuck with the one they did -- Meg alive is more interesting than a murdered Meg.

Oh, and I loved the main storyline with Trina. And her scene with Kendall was just priceless.

And Mac has a crush! Awww!

And House:

Whoo. We're getting some good conflict here. Foreman in charge of House -- that should be a blast. Then again, House is cranky enough that if gets pissed off, he's got no compunctions about just telling them all to fuck off and leaving. So I don't think he'll take well to being over-supervised.

And I loved how they handled the flashbacks here. Nicely done, almost providing an ideal balance to the penultimate episode of last season. We knew that Chase's dad was going to die, but they still pushed out the exact information nicely.

I actually liked Sela Ward on this episode. Damn.

And hey, Allison Smith! Yay! I had such a crush on her when I was growing up (and even when I was grown up, seeing as I was one of six fans of the brilliant and prematurely cancelled Spy Game).

Meg alive is more interesting than a murdered Meg.

Her heart had just barely stopped... plenty of time to revive her. I don't think we'd get a murdered Meg.

*bounce bounce* OMG! Meg and Duncan and Veronica and House and Foreman oh my ! (Meg and Duncan and Veronica and House and Foreman, oh my!) It's all so! so! Sweeptastic without pandering! Except for the VM alternate ending which would have been slightly panderific. But dude. It all just gets better and better. I didn't even hate Sela Ward this week either because she was being a bitch and everyone called her on it and it was awesome! And everyone knows Chase and Cameron slept together and heeeee! /fangirlgush

Yeah, the alternate ending left a bad taste in my mouth... mostly a lot of it to do with logic.

Meg has been in the hospital for months, why was it the day that Veronica Mars is in the hospital that security is lax enough for Meg's Mom to go into the room and kill her with a pillow?

Aren't they supposed to be under investigation currently as it is because of the daughter?

Alternate ending wasn't just dumb, it logistically didn't work, I'm shocked it even got past the wiriting stage... unless it was just some sweeps production decree, which it probably was.

You're more than welcome for the tiny hairball I managed to contribute to the Elayna Llama Fund. I wish it could have been more, but finances are tighter than the Duke boys' jeans.

Perhaps in the near future, I'll be able to give more than hairball.
