I was (and remain) skeptical about Brett Ratner taking over the X-Men franchise (not that I've hated anything he's done, but he's no Bryan Singer, even if they both have hit shows on Fox).

But the first trailer? It's a fucking beauty.

I figure that Ratner should do a fine job on the action sequences, and if he's been handed a decent script, the rest should flow well enough.
