Amazon weekend sale goodies
Dec. 10th, 2005 03:14 pmAmazon's got three pages worth of high-discount DVDs (with hundreds of cheap DVDs between them):
DVDs as low as $6.97, including Ace Ventura, The Animatrix, About Schmidt, Deep Blue Sea (which, as many of you know, I adore), Outland (Sean Connery in Spaaaaaaace), the Crispin Glover Willard, and Wag the Dog.
DVDs as low as $7.97, including Bonnie and Clyde, Kelly's Heroes, and Theodore Rex, a movie that has the greatest concept ever -- pair hard-boiled cop Whoopi Goldberg with a talking T-rex! Man, if there was ever doubt that the Oscars were rigged against truly visionary movies, this should remove it.
and
DVDs as low as $10.97, including the original Mr. and Mrs. Smith, North by Northwest, and Strangers on a Train (although surely everyone owns those three films, right?).
Note that there are some higher=priced DVDs in each section (like the first three Harry Potter movies and the Lord of the Rings and Matrix movies, each listed at $9.97 in the second section). The final section, in particular, includes things like the Warner Box Office Hits Collection (Contact, City of Angels, LA Confidential, and A Perfect Murder), the six-movie Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan Collection and the four-movie Lethal Weapon Collection for $19.97 each.
