For the second time in a month, while looking over my Amazon wishlist, I came across a listing like this.

Um. What? I mean, I understand if something's no longer available. But with a listing like this, I can't even tell what's gone.

Unless I had a book called "This title no longer available" on my wishlist. Granted, I've got nearly 400 items, but I think I'd have remembered that title.

I had that happen to me when I went to really make a wishlist and come to find out I already sort of had one (granted there were only 3 items). It was really disappointing...I don't know what I was missing out on!

Have you forgotten about Samuel R. Delany's postmodern masterpiece This Title No Longer Available? The long-awaited sequel to Dhalgren, it questions its own existence in a ferocious and fiery act of self-immolating literature.
