Today is a holiday. It's "chatter and talk and prevent Adam from concentrating on anything for more than 30 seconds day." Goddamned Hallmark Holidays.

Over in KOL, I killed the Naughty Sorceress before coffee this morning (my easiest kill yet), and ascended as a teetotaling Accordion Thief. I'm at level four on this run. Incidentally, I took Marmot as my sign in the previous run, and got a whopping two clovers during that entire run. Definitely a wasted sign.

At work, in an attempt to shore up some knowledge gaps on our team (as well as to improve my own skillset), I've been hitting the pages at W3 Schools over the last day or so. Good stuff. So far, I've just worked through the HTML and XHTML pages (most of which was review). If it weren't for the above-mentioned holiday, I'd be on CSS at this point.

Currently reading Exiles at the Well of Souls. Yep, finally started rereading the original five (this is the second one, for those who haven't read their Chalker). Still enjoying them.

Finally, for those who haven't seen it: The Lost Bohemian Rhapsody (audio/video content, so possibly not work-safe).

I had the same Marmot experience, bleh.

I like the original Well series, but there is still enough trademark Chalker freaky fetish stuff that it doesn't get on my favorite lists. I really do like all the odd "aliens" that he thought up.

a hallmark holiday is one where you actually send cards, not one that is just an annoyance. :P

I read the Well of Souls series years ago. They still remain big favorites of mine. My copy of Midnight at the Well of Souls is falling apart because I've re-read it so many times! Another book Chaulker did that I really liked was Web of the Chosen.
