As some might remember, we had a mild snake incident last fall.

So a few minutes ago, I went into my office, and saw Jack (the younger cat) walking with his back to me, with something in his mouth. I assume it was a cable or cord of some sort from the way it dangled, and went to grab it. He then gave a territorial meow and turned towards me, at which point I realized that it was yet another snake, still very much alive. I managed to spook Jack into dropping it, grabbed the snake (which was similar to the first one -- small, and probably scared to death), yelled for [livejournal.com profile] shadesong to open the door, and tossed the motherfucking snake onto the motherfucking porch.

Poor Jack is still stalking around my office, trying to see where his latest toy went.

Me, I just hope we've hit our yearly quota.

Snakes on a Porch!

That could be the start of a brilliant movie script... ;)

We're in serious Spider Season here, and nothing makes Nemo happier than spiders. Especially really big ones, that she can stalk and bat around on the floor and pounce upon ... ick.

No snakes. Although the dog occasionally goes a little nuts when raccoons decide to take over the wicker chairs on my front porch.

Nature. Bah, I say.

Cats love a snake. It's a string that moves itself. When Hamlet was playing his escape artist act, I had to rescue him from the cats several times. They always sulked at me afterward.
