Aug. 15th, 2006 10:27 amFinished The Privilege of the Sword yesterday. I loved it -- it clearly clicked for me more than it did for
jmspencer, as I found that the intensity (and my desire to know what happened next) increased as the book went on. And I adore the denouement. Just lovely.
Started The Fourth Bear, and I enjoying it. I don't doubt that Fforde is capable of dropping the ball, but he hasn't yet. Jack and Mary are even more fun than they were in the previous novel. And who couldn't love a psychotic gingerbread man?
And good news for folks who miss Fforde's other series: According to the back pages of The Fourth Bear, "Thursday Next returns in The War of the Words, June 2007." Yay!

But first, I'm finishing The Dresden Files... then The Book of Jhereg... then to try again to read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell...
