Clearly, Microsoft and Electronic Arts are not talking about EA Online or what information gamers are sacrificing to play games online like Madden, NCAA Football, or Tiger Woods.

Lovely. Basically, EA's not only gathering all the usual information that every company does, but they're not aggregating it anonymously. In other words, everything that John Q. Smith does in Madden is associated with Smith's name, credit card info, demographics, etc.
