Doctor Who thoughts

A few thoughts on "Journey to the Center of the Tardis":
1. Is this the first episode ever in which the majority of characters on screen were played by people of color (note that I said "played by;" I'm reasonably certain that most of the actors in "The Aztecs" were white, no matter what the characters themselves were supposed to be.)
2. Just this once (again) everybody lives! Actually, it kind of mirrors "The Doctor Dances," as it was obvious early on that the creatures, like the images of The Doctor and Clara, were somehow tied to their victtims, although I liked the way little bits were misdirected (presenting the conjoined pair as possibly the combo of Bram and the initial monster who killed them, for example). The one who held his hand over his face like the Doctor was a brilliant touch.
3. Okay, so The Doctor was bluffing with the countdown. But his bluff nearly got them all killed, and did get Bram killed before he revealed it. Yes, The Doctor reset everything, but even he didn't know that was going to happen.
4. Of course, The Doctor's deception mirrors the one Bram and Gregor pulled off, which was even more ludicrously unethical (and perhaps just plain ludicrous).
5. And this is the third "small space" episode, with the Doctor and Clara trapped in one small area* with a reasonably small number of people.
6. Also, yes, I adored the visual and audio shout-outs to other events. So nifty.
*Okay, so the TARDIS is actually a reasonably large area; but it plays small on TV. In fact, it plays almost exactly like a haunted mansion does, especially once it starts fucking with physics and leading people in weird directions.
