Over in the binky_betsy community, devoted to snarking on Lynn Johnston's For Better or For Worse strip, the members have received notices from LJ abuse, on behalf of the copyright holder, to cease and desist using all parody icons involving FBOFW chars as they violate copyright (http://community.livejournal.com/binky_betsy/168266.html).
