A few misc. notes
Oct. 19th, 2006 01:11 pm1. I didn't mention the garage sale we held last Saturday, but we managed to get rid of a lot of crap (although we failed to get rid of more).
kissmythistle was a huge help.
1.5. At the garage sale, I also finally met
bobthegoat!
2. Had wonderful Ru-Sans sushi on Monday, and saw
redcrowstudio for the first time in years, thanks to the small-world fact that he's now one of
photognome's co-workers.
2.5 Aside from the wonderful sushi, we all devoured copious amounts of bacon-wrapped scallops. Yum.
3. The move has pretty much consumed our lives (big surprise). Thanks to
muse0fire, we have boxes for stemware (and extra boxes for storage), and thanks to both my work and the local package store (or, as they'd call it in places that acknowledge drinking openly, liquor store), we've got tons of sturdy boxes of all sorts. Our house looks like a box war zone. Our cats our ecstatic. Jack has discovered he can now climb to the top of the bookcase.
4. Had our final breakfast at Bagel Palace this morning. I nearly misted up (seriously). Of the three breakfast places at which we're regulars (Crescent Moon and Java Jive being the other two), this is the one where we're most often recognized, and it's where we've gone the longest.

And, instead of realizing my mistake, I thought either your cat had one of the oddest and coolest names ever, or that you had a rather interesting visitor keeping you busy.
Then my brain actually started working and I said "Oh. That makes more sense."
Anyway. CONGRATULATIONS again on the new job - and good luck with the move!! If I was in Atlanta, I'd definitely be there helping y'all out. As it is, considering this lots of moral support from the sidelines of Cincinnati.
