A few notes
Jan. 11th, 2007 09:40 am1. Yesterday was a miserably bad day -- the sort of day during which everything that happens is tantamount to being forced to look into the Total Perspective Vortex (and I'm no Zaphod).
2. Today could be even worse. But if I'm alive and kicking by the end of it, I might make it through the month.
3. Yes, I know I'm way behind on comments. I'll play catchup tonight.
4. Also, expect today's review in the late PM, for the third day in a row.
5. On the plus side, I remembered that the DVDs I took out of the library were due today, and renewed 'em online before I got a fine.

Date: 2007-01-11 07:22 pm (UTC)It's called "The Last Horror Movie." It's a low-budget psychological thriller that will make you wonder (even though you KNOW it's fiction) if it really might have happened somewhere.
The man character looks vaguely like Pierce Brosnan, and he's wonderfully twisted. My favorite line in the movie? The main character is talking to the camera, describing how the watcher likely feels morally superior and shocked by what they're seeing. Then he says, deadpan, "So why are you still watching?"
I'll warn you, it's low-budget. And get past the first 15 minutes or so for the good stuff to start. You'll see what I mean if you haven't seen the movie yet. The effects leave a LOT to be desired, but the psychological part of this movie is really, really enthralling.
It’s twisted, with a lot of gore, but it’s definitely a film to make you think.
If you’ve seen it, I’m sorry to bore you, but it’d be nice to get an opinion from someone else who has seen it. It’s almost on par with May, one of my other favorite horror movies.
Sorry to bug you with this, but I thought you’d be able to appreciate it. From one horror movie fan to another:)
