We're currently at Boskone, where we've had a quiet but fun night so far. We've already spent far too much money in the huckster's room, been outbid at the art show, watched Elayna play on the gaming room WII for an hour, ad eaten an overpriced hotel dinner.

The hotel, prices aside, is wonderful. There's something to be said for holding a con in one of the upper-tier hotels aimed at conferences.

I suspect that tomorrow will be a much more hectic day than today was.

The con also has one of the most amusing typos ever on their late changes page. Especially since that typo deals with the kid-oriented track.

The fact that the stoopid weather attacked yuki_onna and stopped her from coming here sucks.

We're off to put the kid to bed, and then I'll probably wander around for a bit, although I suspect it'll be an early night for me, as well.

Hope to see some of you around. And apologies for LJ comments piling up -- I don't think I'll really have time to read and respond until the weekend's over.

I've gone to some cons held at low end hotels. One that stands out had a wing closed because some rooms were open to the elements, and many guests got their rooms comped because of problems almost as bad. The building was condemned a few weeks later. But it was very attractively priced for a small convention in it's first year. The higher end convention hotels are a lot nicer, even if they do cost more.
