The Roberto Alomar trade -- one of the low points in recent Mets history -- almost claimed Jose Reyes. That would have launched it past the Scott Kazmir deal.
Yeah, that's right down there with the 1995 news story that had the Yankees offering Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada to the Reds for David Wells...... *shudder*
