I've actually seen that movie. Bruce and I were flipping channels one night and stopped on this thing (having caught it halfway through) and just sat there saying, "What? Shatner? What? What language is that?"
We were able to identify it later by googling "Shatner Esperanto movie". I think I only figured out it was Esperanto by ruling out all other languages that sounded even remotely like it.
I loved it, myself. It was a lot of fun to watch. The thing that really struck me was how naturally Esperanto seemed to lend itself to Shatner's acting style and vocal cadence. It's almost as if he were born to speak it, or even born speaking it.
I only know about that movie thanks to the behind-the-scenes of Blade 3. Since they had esperanto as a language in the movie when Van Wilder (whose real name escapes me righ tnow and I'll probably remember right after hittign submit...wait Ryan something isn't it) is injured and resting it's on the tv he's watching.

If you recall, I actually kinda liked the movie (http://community.livejournal.com/cinemaeater/25724.html).
