Desktop Tower Defense

I finally broke 4000 (on medium)! Yay!

Used this layout:



I started with the pellet towers (my entire pre-level-1 layout was on basic pellets), then spent the 20 I got from that level on the first dart tower. Added the first squirt tower (the one I upgraded all the way) and bash tower (the one on the top row) and upgraded them and two of the pellet towers over the next few levels Eventually brought in the second dart and bash towers and upped them and a third pellet (and added swarm towers for the flying creeps). I got all the way to level 49.

No, I don't have an addictive personality. Why do you ask? :-)

which finished the game. the trick for higher scores seems to be to get good at ordering the next wave in manually.

Nice! I just managed 5495 using a variant of that (http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/Maps/283191.gif). Folks on the forums there mention having five waves going at a time, which is a little rich for my blood.

I don't use the dart towers much, I think I overuse the squirt towers, so far my best score is 4880

I love the splash effects of the dart towers, but the squirt towers can be pretty amazing.

I got to around level 25 by just throwing five squirt towers in the middle of the board and upgrading them as fast as I could. It worked on Easy!
