Gorey on the big screen

curt_holman, the folks at Walden Media and Henson Studios are making a live-action movie out of Edward Gorey's The Doubtful Guest. I'm doubtful (ahem) about how well it'll work, but Walden and Henson both get a lot of slack from me.

And wouldn't the sum total of all of the extant material only add up to maybe ten minutes of film?
Gah ... why doesn't anyone do short subjects any more ... you could just animate what's there with a narrator voiceover and produce something marvelous ... *clutches her head*
