I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about pointless remakes, but a fucking remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still?

Talentless hack Scott Derrickson (of The Exorcism of Emily Rose "fame," but best known in my book for writing Urban Legends 2: The Sucking) will be fucking up this masterpiece. Robert Wise hasn't even been in his grave two years, but I'm hoping he'll find a way out of it to kick some Fox exec's ass.

hmm... but the metaphor breaks down -- unlike scratched LPs, unbuffered audio streams don't repeat themselves. though perhaps a new metaphor is born, perhaps referring to momentary lapses in fluency ("sorry, I'm kinda unbuffered right now...").
