Lots of folks are saying stuff like:

Good riddance.

Why couldn't it have happened sooner?

It's about fucking time.

The world's a better place.

Not to mention all the righteous superiority coming from folks talking about it.

Well, fuck that noise. I'm here to tell you that some folks are really feeling a sense of loss, and are genuinely upset over this. And that the world really will be a lesser place as a result. I'm still upset over the loss, and probably won't be over it for months.

My point is, I liked Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, dammit!

(What? What did you think I was talking about?)

I am so glad I decided to let my tea cool a bit more... if I had been drinking it, my laptop would have had a bath.

I'm with you, it was a really good show. (I take it it's just been officially cancelled.)

The ratings were destined to fal, well they are on any show that exhibits some amount of intelligence. It just happened quicker than normal this time.

NBC wouldn't be in the hole it is now if they had any sense of scheduling -- Studio 60 would've survived and the Law & Orders would be in much better shape (instead of limping to another season, one banished to cable), to name but a few examples.

Then again, if NBC had any sense, we wouldn't already have more than 100 episodes of Deal or No Deal.

More like intellectual snobbery. At heart the show was extremely stupid.

It's certainly a show to be missed.

I liked it too. I knew it was canceled months ago. I assume they're not going to bother airing the rest of the season? That sucks.

well it will just end up next to Sports Night and Firefly on my DVD shelf.. This kinda shit is why I don't hate wasting my time watching new shows. Anything I like gets canned.

Yeah, I just gotta say that I never really did get into it. I am not sure why, but after a few episodes, it just didn't fit on my radar anymore. Maybe it was just that it was hockey season, maybe all the characters talk too fast and talk over each other (west-wing style, as I used to call it). Oh, well. I am sorry for your loss.

Maybe if they had let the season progress and didn't yank it off the schedule when they did, it would have gained a larger fanbase.

I didn't adore it the way that I love West Wing, but I did enjoy it.

At least they'll air the episode with Allison Janey.
