I'm not sure that the ones on railing ledges are too smart; that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. (Someone loses footing, goes to brace themselves, and manages to impale their hand...)

I do like the "Go Away!" cages around the stand pipes, though.

I suspect a lot of these are also anti-skateboarding railings as well. Especially anything that looks cool to rail on.
