1. Damned fine ending to Volume One (although not flawless; I'll post something with spoilers and cut-tags later this week).

2. Even better teaser for Volume 2.

3. Yet another official website to occupy us: http://yamagatofellowship.org

The ending felt right, even if it didn't go places I would have liked to have seen. Well done, I say.

Hmm. I dunno, I think I might be the only person on the Internet who thought the ending was kind of underwhelming.

Agreed, and agreed.

There were definitely a few things I wasn't thrilled about (and a few others that puzzled me a bit), but I still thought it was quite good...

And that teaser... I'm really looking forward to chapter two. :)

I was disappointed in the ending a little bit. I wanted more fighting. There was all this build up and then like 30 seconds of fighting. I wanted a big battle and it just didn't happen.

I was pretty disappointed in the episode, especially the ending. One thing has really been bothering me:

*SPOILER*

Why didn't Claire just shoot Peter in the head? He can regenerate, and then no one would've had to die. Alternatively, why didn't Peter just fly himself up?

Also I don't understand how Peter would survive this. He didn't live when there was a piece of glass in his head. How would he live through a NUCLEAR explosion, in which his body is probably all over the place?

Those were my main questions, too. Not to mention that Peter should have gotten all of the powers Sylar had the moment he got close to him. Surely one of them would have been useful.

And will any television hero other than one written by Joss Whedon ever learn to kill villains _dead_ instead of just poking around at them? Jeez.

Good point... although my personal theory is that Syler didn't actually survive. I believe that something/someone dragged his body down into the sewers and that it's the big bad from series two (or else connected to him/her in some way). I also suspect that the cockroach is significant in some way, since we also saw one next to Syler in an earlier episode, when he was in the cell at the paper company, before he broke free.

That may be - and that would be interesting. But if Hiro had stabbed him and then cut his head off, he wouldn't have been able to slam Hiro into the building, for instance. The whole "He's not quite dead yet!" thing with villains is overplayed.
