Monday morning stuff
Jul. 2nd, 2007 08:42 am1. Amazon's video game deal of the day is WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Wii for $25! If you've got a Wii and somehow don't have this, jump on it! It's already been marked "sold out" once this morning, but it's come back into stock (with a ship date of next week). ETA: Sold out before 8AM PST. This borders on bait-and-switch, so here's hoping Amazon will do the right thing and offer a few more later in the day.
2. As a Mets fan, I should be happy with the All-Star game lineup, but I'd much rather have see Wright and Beltran not make the starting lineup, thus making it a lot more likely that John Maine would get the spot he deserves. No complaints about Reyes or Wagner, though.
3. Downtown Silver Spring, MD, is now private property? WTF?
4. If you bought A Million Little Pieces before the *gasp* shocking truth about the book came out, you might be entitled to a refund.
5. Turns out that the biology-defying buffoons at the Creation Museum have also fucked with linguistics.
Short linkdump because I've got lots of things to do this morning.

Date: 2007-07-02 03:03 pm (UTC)I picked this book up about 2 months ago -- not because of Oprah, but because it looked like a compelling read. Hadn't ever heard of it before. At least now I know it's part (dramatized) fabrication...but that doesn't mean it won't be a good morality tale.
