Sep. 11th, 2007 11:02 am1. Our new crack: Flax Plus Granola Cereal with Pumpkin Seeds. So damned good.
2. Adam Roberts on the latest Ben Bova book. This may be the snarkiest slam of a book I've ever read. I'd quote the best parts, but that would basically mean cutting and pasting the entire article.
3. Subway's evil plans to make you buy extra cheese. Since I never get cheese on my Subway subs (not that I've been in years), I think I'll ask for $.40 off my next purchase.
4. Either Kathy Griffin's remarks are being misreported, or the Catholic League is even more full of shit than it's been in the past.
5. Type "what time is it?" into Google, and it'll tell you. Although, you know, if you're already at a computer, there's this clock thing built into the menu bar.
6. Bruce Lee's screen test for The Green Hornet.
7. Shock of shocks -- when creationists aren't busy lying to themselves, they're just busy lying, period.
8. Metal_floss on famous food flops. mmm, coffee jello.
9. XKCD proves that thirtysomething singles actually have better odds than younger folks at finding a mate.
10. Finally, Apple follows up its iPhone rebate with a Lisa rebate :-).

Date: 2007-09-11 03:07 pm (UTC)My all time favorite Jello product was Jello 1-2-3. My sister and I loved it! I'm still bitter that they stopped making it.

Date: 2007-09-11 03:19 pm (UTC)I googled it b/c you got results. There are recipes for making it yourself apparently. I'll have to try and see if it's as good as I remember.
I miss Jello pudding and regular ice pops too. The fruit ones were really creamy. I know some popsicle company makes the chocolate ones again, but they don't taste the same.

Date: 2007-09-11 10:38 pm (UTC)I also remember celery jello- and not fondly. It was a component of something I've heard called "Perfection Salad," which is basically crunchy veg like carrots and celery ground rather fine or shredded and mixed with the aforementioned jello. Nasty stuff. Unpleasant in taste AND texture, both!

Date: 2007-09-11 03:35 pm (UTC)Of course, I'm also making them money, as are the people who ask for extra cheese to compensate for not being able to taste it.
Maybe I'll start ordering it, and then take it off. :P
