1. Jeff and Ann Vandermeer are selling a metric fuckton of books, including some rare stuff.
2. Remembering Molly Ivins.
3. Dungeons and Dragons: 30 Years of Very Stupid Monsters.
4. Best. Sign. Evar..
felisdemens, you'll get a kick out of it.
5. Um, Mick Jagger is releasing a Greatest Hits album? Wouldn't it be easier to re-release "Dancing in the Street" as a Greatest Hit Single? He doesn't even have "State of Shock" on it, which is the only other "solo" hit I can recall from his career.
6. A Tron Sequel! If it inspires an arcade game half as good as the one the first movie inspired, I'll be happy.
7. Beyond Wikipedia: 20 Reference sites you can't live without. Not all the sites are great (or new), but none of them feature a shortisighted power-abusing intern named SwatJester, either. The comments also have some good links.
8. OJ Simpson is being accused of robbing a casino. I'm sure he's "innocent," but I bet he's willing to write a book about how he would have done it.
9. Barak is no longer CEO of Six Apart! I cannot imagine a worse communicator or decision-maker than Barak, but I'm sure that we'll get the chance to see how Alden stacks up.
10. Finally, four days until new Pterry! Yay!

Date: 2007-09-14 09:12 pm (UTC)No doubt because they didn't want to be swamped by comments like I wanted to post. To wit: "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Barak."

Date: 2007-09-14 10:03 pm (UTC)2. All I know about Barak was he had the caljones to write a post that said. "We screwed up." A lot of CEOs would never do that.
