Amazon's Sci-Fi TV Bundle. What a deal!

Amazon is selling a TV Sci-Fi Bundle consisting of:

The complete collector's set of Buffy.
The complete collector's set of Angel.
Firefly.
Ten seasons of Stargate.
Three seasons of Stargate: Atlantis.
The Complete X-Files collector's set.
All four seasons of The Pretender (as well as the movies).
All three seasons of Roswell.
Both seasons of the "Ogle Jessica Alba and Don't Worry About the Plot" show Dark Angel.

It's going for "only" $899.99 (49% off).

The thing I always wonder about with these deals is whether even someone with that much money to spare and an interest in these shows would buy it. You've got to figure that any fan with that much disposable income has already bought at least half of the stuff in the set, which makes it a dubious deal, at best.

They could buy it to fill in the gaps in their collection, and then give away (as Christmas presents) or re-sell (to friends or ebay) the rest. You might even see a group of people chipping in for the collection, and then splitting it up (or making a lot of copies) once it arrives.

I'd thought about the gaps, but it didn't seem to make much sense, given the high investment one would have to make (unless you were sure you had friends who needed all of the extra/unwanted sets). I hadn't thought about the group buy, though.

I thought of the group buy because I certainly don't want/need most of those series, but I can think of people who would want the ones I don't want.
