It's impossible to make a chef-in-a-box on the initial run leading in to Bad Moon, but it's possible to make one (and the epic weapon) once you're there.
Just glad I didn't ignore that particular quest. :-)
Doing them back to back means you don't have do skip the Guild Quest that opens up the fun house. Thus you can build bartenders/chefs, and you get your class weapon.
There is also a negative to all the Brimstone reward items, that is offset when you are wearing all the items together.
I really like all the silly new stuff that comes with BM.
I've already done 125 Ascensions, so BM is the only new content.
OK, I"m about to ascend from a hardcore oxy run as a sauceror. I have NO idea what skill to take with me. I also have the gnomish skills (or can get them). Are there any good run-downs of advice on such matters that you know of? This would be my first class-based HP skill.
Hmmm. I'd probably favor Advanced Saucecrafting here -- just the ability to create Tomato Juices alone makes it worthwhile for every class during later levels.
Since the overflow on the combat spells turns into damage for non-Saucerors, keeping most of the combat skills probably isn't worth it.
Thanks much! That's a good point, and one I hadn't thought of. I'd originally planned to HP that one, I think- though it was so long ago I'm not sure- but have been getting distracted by the shiny. Torso awaregness is looking really shiny to me... :) But I expect the Saucecr5afting would be best. And maybe i should try not to take a year and a half per ascension, or whatever I'm doing! :)

It is THE reason why I will be doing all my BM runs back to back.
