1. I'm still waiting for my Hearthstone beta invite, but in the meantime, I've been playing the beta of Solforge, an iOS CCG that's been a lot of fun, and which takes advantage of the elecontric medium to do things like adjust the health and weakness of cards that are normally a pain with physical games (remember how many tokens you needed for Fallen Empires?). It's got some good themes and a reasonably streamlined set of rules, and is a partnership between Sone Blade (who created Ascension) and Richard Garfield (who created some card game of note that I can't remember).

2. Speaking of Garfield, I've also been playing Card Hunter, a free web-based game that he also consults on. This one has you crawling through old-school D&D-esque dungeons, and the equipment your characters have affects the cards in your deck. It's surprisingly fun so far.

3. And back on the iOS, I've been playing the latest game from Adult Swim, Giant Boulder of Death. You play a boulder in Switzerland who is seeking revenge on all the humans who carved the boulder's partner into a statue. Naturally, you do this by rolling into the valley and crushing everything. As you do better, you unlock new things to destroy. The Swiss release things like mecha-yetis and spiked balls to try to stop you.

All three games are some variant of the free-to-play model, but I haven't found a need to spend a cent on any of them, and have had a blast with all of them.
