The forty worst Rob Liefeld Drawings.

Everything they say about Rob here is true. There is no way this man has ever seen -- let alone touched -- a woman. Or a foot.

Dear god I own some of those issues....

I thought the same thing, but then I felt some relief over the fact that I don't own them anymore. I gave some old and worthless comic books to my wife to chop up for her artworks.

Those are apparently so awful I can't even look at them from work.

Can't view them from work.

My work's filter came back "Access Denied - Tasteless & Offensive".

Not because there's any nudity, but because they're drawings by ROB LIEFELD!

He sucks like a black hole on steroids.

No sense of perspective on any of his drawings and his backgrounds blow chunks.

How did his books even sell?

Oh yeah...b00bs.

Oh, man, thanks for that link. I remember he was terrible in a broad sense, but I had forgotten some of the details which made him so, so, so wretched.

Though I have to admit that back when I fantasized about being a comic book artist, he was very briefly an influence of mine in the early 90s. Luckily for my drawings, I got over it pretty quickly.

Or a woman's foot. Or... well, apparently anything.

Artwork that bad gives me hope that I could actually some day realise my own dreams of being a comic book artist1. :)

1 Hey, I'm rubbish (http://images.wikia.com/uncyclopedia/images/7/7a/Drawn_and_quartered.png) at drawing (http://images.wikia.com/uncyclopedia/images/9/94/Bobwire.png), but at least I know it.

As I told 'Song, I'm flashing on the snarky Peter David "revisions" to Liefeld art from about 10 years ago. Liefeld passed out photocopies of the pre-colored artwork at conventions; Peter grabbed some and added his own word balloons. "Sure we're leaning waaaaaay back to make this shot work. We're willing to suffer for our art, you see..." Or Capt. America Fighting American leaping to attack Nazis while singing "I'm, too sexy for my wings! Too sexy for my wings! Too sexy for my shield rings!"

I might still have some of the BIDs that reprinted those...

That list is completely invalidated by not including this:

I was also astonished that the above wasn't on the list, but then I realized that it must be the special #0 on the list, available only through Wizard magazine.

Textbook Robert P. Liefeld.

That's something some comic artist said in a message board argument with Liefeld a few years back. And I'm glad I get this chance to use it myself.

You're thinking of someone else. More recent. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but I can look it up.

Greg Land.
