I guess he wasn't the worst commissioner ever, although given the general quality of so many of the commissioners, that's not saying much. And putting him in while leaving Marvin Miller out is just an utter disgrace.
In better news, Dick Williams and Walter O'Malley both got in. Davey Johnson didn't, but "standing by while your team snorts a few metric tons of coke" is probably not the best qualification, anyway.
