The Victoria's Secret Stuffer Bear (no comment on the name) has been recalled because the zipper pull might be a hazard to small children.

To which I have to ask: Who the fuck gives anything from Victoria's Secret (even a bear) to young children?

I thought the Fluffer Bear was more of a choking hazard.

Same people who buy these (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=412195&in_page_id=17) and send their kids here (http://in.news.yahoo.com/071008/139/6lo99.html)

If a bear was free with purchase, you can bet someone's going to give it to a kid they know.

My pre-teen nieces have inherited assorted items that I had no use for, given to me in event gift bags and as marketing gifts from magazines, designers, stores etc. Among them: size zero t-shirts and tank tops, stuffed animals and costume jewelry. And yes, some of them were unlogo'd items from Victoria's Secret.

Edit: Also, who's to say a mom didn't get a bear as a gift or buy one for themselves? When you have kids in the house, you need to know these things.

Totally agree - what if someone buys it for their wife and the little kid sees it and takes a liking to it? Personally, I think it's up to the individual to decide if they want to comply with the recall, but I can imagine a number of situations, none worthy of contempt, in which a small child could wind up playing with the bear.

Those bears bear a disturbing resemblance to the Gimp from Pulp Fiction.
