It is now #1 with a bullet on my list of movies that need to be released on DVD.
This movie has (in no particular order):
A remote control with one button that controls ninety-six different things. Including doors, intercoms, a bed hidden beneath a desk, and music.
Groucho Marx as God.
Carol Channing getting nearly naked.
A huge hot air balloon knitted together in the span of a few hours from dozens of potato sacks.
Carol Channing dancing spastically (I need an LJ icon of her dance in Frankie Avalon's apartment)
Closing credits sung in their entirety.
A lot of hippies.
No, really. A lot of hippies.
Jackie Gleason on an acid trip.
An entire prison population (including guards, warden, and a visiting senator) on an acid break.
The Green Bay Packers. Naked.
Mickey Rooney.
Richard Kiel as a prison
Appearances by Michael Constantine, John Philip Law, Frank Gorshin, Peter Lawford, Burgess Meredith, George Raft, Cesar Romero, and Slim Pickens.
Music by Harry Nilsson
And this was all directed by Otto Preminger.
