Jan. 24th, 2008 10:37 amHeading to the Green Street Grill tonight with a bunch of co-workers to celebrate one of them having been here for a year, which should be fun for the hour or so before my crowd issues kick in.
Links to dump:
1. Wii injuries are on the rise again. I'm surprised to hear that boxing and tennis are the sports that cause the big injuries, as it's always been baseball that made my arm into a pile of misery when I've played Wii Sports.
2. There will be a New Stephen Bochco show on TNT with Jane Kaczmarek and Gloria Reuben! Insert obligatory Bocho/Cop Rock joke here.
3. New Feist Video!
4. There's a new winner of the (non-existent) "irony in cover layout" award.
5. Yet another list of 100 books every child should read.
6. Folks in Salem, MA can finally have bake sales again! Kind of.
7. America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Illustrated are looking for recipe testers!
8. Starbucks is testing $1 cups of coffee and free refills in their Seattle stores.
9. Amazon's VIdeo Game Deal of the Day is Wario: Master of Disguise for the DS for $11.99 (60% off), a hell of a good deal.
10. Finally, there's a Rambo Kill chart, detailing the deaths and other events in the four Rambo films.
Bonus: Don't forget to visit Yendiopolis!

Date: 2008-01-24 03:45 pm (UTC)Likewise, it looks like this upcoming "Rambo" movie will tell a real story (with 'splosions, cuz still Rambo), and underscore the (occasional) need for violence (rather than the base desire for it).
It's almost as if Stallone is cleaning up his oeuvre for retirement or something.

When I read your post yesterday, I put it in my shopping cart, planning to go back that afternoon and order it. Then I completely forgot about it, until this morning.
Now it's back up to full price. D'oh!
