John Edwards has dropped his candidacy.

Man, Giuliani can't even win the "first to quit after Florida" race.

Well, darn. I still wish we could get a candidate for the general election that combined Edwards's progressivism, Obama's inspirationalism, and Clinton's willingness to low-punch the opposition.

I've also been saying I wish we could moosh them into one super-candidate!

Yes, but at least he finally beat Ron Paul in a primary. So that's something.

It is sad when someone drops out after losing a primary where there weren't even any delegate at stake and no one was allowed to campaign. I live in South Florida and I can assure the rest of the country, half of my county might well of thought they were voting for the other Clinton. For the Democrats, this wasn't the race to drop out after.

Now I don't even have a losers speech to imitate... 'We're going to carry on for little Bobby in the everglades who I didn't get to meet because the Republicans screwed us and doesn't have shoes or health insurance, but can sure wrestle some 'gators...'

Seriously though, the Repulican controlled state legislator totally screwed Obama and Edwards in Florida (along with the DNC) because their inability to campaign essentially guaranteed that Hillary would win Florida and put her at an advantage going in to Super Tuesday next week. And since they clearly want her to be the candidate they go up against in the fall (she is the only one they call by name in the media and during debates), it all plays to their advantage in the end.

I dunno, I heard that Guiliani dropped out last night, and I just saw Edwards took his hair and went home.
