Remember Drive, the series that Fox dumped in a horrible timeslot and then pulled before it had a chance to build an audience?

(Okay, that description applies to at least six or seven series, including at least two others also produced by Tim Minear.)

After the early cancellation, the bumped plans to air of the final two shows, and then Fox's refusal to even burn off the episodes, you can finally download the episodes from Amazon Unbox for $1.99 a pop (or $8.99 for the entire "season"). Not as nice as owning them on DVD, mind you, but it's a start.

Given Fox's modus operendus of buying rights to shows that could be extremely good and killing them off, I wonder if they aren't doing it deliberately.

It's a tempting conspiracy, but not a likely one. Given the rewards for an exec who nurtures a hit or three, incompetence is a much more plausible explanation than malice.
