Could someone explain the fucking baseball minigame to me? I can't get the bag to go more than fifty feet, and usually don't get it out of the cage.

If it's like Melee, you need to look for ways to quickly deal damage to the bag without sending it off the platform. This often involves hitting the bag down and only a little bit forward. Finally, you need to make sure you do a smash attack on the bat, instead of a normal attack.
