Date: 2008-08-12 12:11 pm (UTC)It's pretty sad when I think that FOXSports would do a better job than, well, anybody. But I do think that they'd do a better job than NBC.

Date: 2008-08-13 01:47 am (UTC)But NBC has John Tesh covering "women's" gymnastics. He sounds like a pederast every time he opens his mouth. Major sleaze factor, on top of Tesh's career as an "easy listening" "artist".
I'm serious: even Joe Buck would be better than that. (Just keep Tim McCarver out of the booth.)

The streaming is mostly fine, except for one little teensy-weensy issue: they refuse to stream anything that may be on TV. Which is really annoying, because I only get the main NBC channel, not the 3 or 4 other channels the games are on, so I miss stuff. Plus, the whole thing last night about showing a little of the gymnastics, then cutting away for an ENTIRE HOUR to show swimming (including more sap stories about Michael Phelps, who's apparently the only US athlete in China), meant that I couldn't watch any of the other gymnastic teams do their routines.
