The final trailer for Frank Miller's Whooooooores The Spirit is out, and it looks gloriously, astoundingly awful.

Like, maybe the worst thing ever.

I can't even recall acting as bad as Gabriel Macht's. It's like Patrick Warburton's version of The Tick, only without the irony or good cheer.

The movie will look pretty, of course, but oh dear lord, it will blow.

I've watched it four times now, and I can't stop giggling. At all the wrong parts.

Congratulations, Frank!

It's hard to believe this is the same guy who wrote all those great Batman and Daredevil stories in the 80s!

And having Batgirl saying "Fuck" and "Cunt" in All-Star Batman & Robin certainly didn't improve his creative standing.

What Frank should do is insert the dialogue with screen cards the way they did before we had sound. It could hardly be any worse.

oh, how the mighty have fallen.

my boyfriend pointed out that sam took one look at neil bigbootay's girth and thought "well, at least the craft service table will be good."

Hmm, I'm seeing a collaborative work, Frank Miller and John Ringo, together like you've never seen them!

Except, John knows when he is veering off into the land of the terrible, and is actively ashamed of it. Not so ashamed he won't cash the check, but ashamed.

Damn.

I think I just got stupider watching that from the brain-cell death it induced.

That's... I'm... but... that's... I just...

wow.

Nice to see that my hopes that the Spirit-Octopus showdown which was "leaked" awhile back wasn't just something to throw off the scent. It really, really will be that bad.

I have a terrible feeling that I'll have to sit through this at the Butt-Numb-a-Thon film festival this year. (The release date is only two weeks after the festival, and a certain Mr. Harry Knowles is actually anxious to see the film.) DAMMIT!

At least I won't have to pay to see it.

Then again, I'm pretty sure that I won't be paid to see it, so I suspect I will still lose.

It's commendable you restrained yourself to only watching it four times ;p

I saw Jumpers, one of the few films i watched online.
It was free but that's a couple of hours i'll never get back.

1)I only watched half the trailer. I don't like watching trailers as they kill movies for me.
2)I have no attachment to the character The Spirit. I didn't even know if he had superpowers or not until I read his wiki entry.

I don't see a problem with this. I don't know that I'm thinking anyone deserves an Oscar nod or anything, but I fail to see what makes this the worst acting ever. I'm not seeing what makes this a bad movie.

And for the love of God, if it's so bloody bad, why are you advertising it? You've got nothing better to do than watch something you dislike 4 times? Jesus. Go take a pottery class or something.

You don't like the movie trailer. You think it's a travesty. We get it. Now can you say something positive about something else?
