Finally saw the most recent episode last night.

If HBO doesn't find a way to have Zeljko Ivanek on more episodes, they're insane. He stole every single scene he was in.

Also, I'm assuming that we'll be getting much more Michelle Forbes (since casting her for a one-second glimpse seems like a waste).

That said,

I'll miss Stephen Root's Eddie, even though I never saw him as having a chance to survive. At least we'll still have Root on Pushing Daisies for a bit.

And Lizzy Caplan's character has just been a blast of a villain.

Finally, did Sam require an animal to model himself on in the books?

in the books, Sam states that he turns into whatever animal he saw last, so he keeps a book of dogs turned to a picture of a large...collie? I think? on his coffee table, because it is so non-threatening.

I love the books, but haven't had a chance to watch the episodes yet. As I trust your opinion more than most, is it worth downloading?

Oh, I am *so* used to considering movie/tv versions of books as "Elseworld" and on their own. My main concern is that it be good and interesting. I'm always a fan of one-offs. Wait. That sounded...accurate. Will check it out, then.

I felt the same way about the Dresden Files, books and series not the same, but were good differently.

I am in love with that theme song, but I have to close my eyes when the credits get to the decomposing fox. *shudder*

I think I'm falling in love with this cast, and I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE SHOW. (No HBO or ability to download eps.)

Catch up with this I shall...

Decrepit home computer. We're talkin' Nineties model. Not even Family Guy existed when this computer was new, and I'm unsure about South Park also. And I'm not going to download something as sexy-sounding as True Blood at the library or at work....

Hi. ;-)

That said, that link will be helpful to someone. Maybe many someones! Thanks, indirectly.

*awaits the inevitable DVD set*

By the way, speaking of sexy, I've crushed on Lizzy Caplan before...

Totally enjoying the show.
Not familiar with the books, so this is all new to me.

I've enjoyed the books a great deal. I've also enjoyed the show just as much. I'm actually glad that they changed things. I love the way the characters were, but I love the way they are in the show also.

As far as I understood sam didn't actually have to keep an animal around to shift off of but I didn't remember the picture thing either. I'm excited to see what they do with the character Michelle Forbes is playing. She only had a few lines in the book so I wonder what changes they're going to do with her in the show.
