Okay, he never actually made good movies. But he at least made fun and exciting movies.

Now, he's making a spy movie in which he gets to save kids (because throwing kids into an action movie is comedy gold). With Billy Ray Cyrus. And George Lopez.

Oh, wait. It' gets better. It's directed by the guy who gave us The Flintstones, Jingle All the Way, and Snow Dogs.

And now, a completely unrelated quote:

"Is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter-day sins? Is it better to burn out or fade away?" -- Barry, High Fidelity.

I thought it was pretty good.

Hell, seeing Jackie Chan and Jet Li fighting was worth eight bucks, easy.

I had a really great idea for a spy movie, just wish I knew how to write a treatment for it :P

mostly parody of all the spy movies, partly a riff on the Bond flicks but I'm thinking subtly done like Kentucky Fried Movie, but also having some rather outrageous elements like sight props (such as the 'gadgets' of old Bond movies, only absurd, ending in the 'Q' describing how a simple pen works for the agent--)

however, Jackie Chan really isn't what I would put in mind for a 'spy movie', especially after 'Tuxedo'

This obviously depends on your definition of 'good', because he used to make spine-tingling films, albeit with plots that weren't aimed at Western audiences.
