Good money karma

At least three folks on my LJ friends list posted good money news, or potential good money news, today.

And I may be adding to that list.

I got an email letting me know I'd won a Gibson guitar. I'd entered two or three such contests, but figured I wouldn't win, since edie22 wins everything.

But I apparantly won.

So I did a search for the contest (to see what model it was), and I think it was a Gibson Les Paul Junion Special. Which, according to Mars Music, ain't exactly cheap.

Which means that, since I'm not exactly a guitar player, I'll be selling this puppy. The only eBay auction I could see sold for about 450 UK Pounds. Dunno if that's the way to go, or if I can sell via Usenet. I'll wait until I see the guitar first, though. :-)
