So, I've spent all fucking day on the FAME project. FAME is Emory's big Freshman thingee (same basic thingee that exists at most universities -- mentoring, life lessons, yadda yadda yadda). I only had to deal with the electronic aspects, which involved setting up a number of batches, doing a lot of work that can't be automated (or that it wouldn't be efficient to automate), and basically doing more work in Excel and FirstClass than I'd like.

And then had to repeat it because they changed the data on me.

I've basically spent all day, other than lunch with Shadesong, staring at a crt and typing. My brain no longer functions. I seriously would not expect me to comment on lj or post anything worthwhile until tonight, at least, so if you need to tell me anything, feel free to email me. I'll get around to responding to comments later, when my brain works again (or when I can trade it in for a working brain).

I'm worn out. Not tired, not angry. Just beat.

"I'm not afraid of you being the devil anymore."

Yeah, I got this parenting thing licked. :-)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] laurel for the link.

Ford is one of my favorite authors, in poetry, short fiction, gaming books, Star Trek novels, or anything else. This was what he wrote last September:

I don't care if the game is any good or not (I'm too tired to attempt playing it right now)

But the title that just caught my eye on Versiontracker is

Bag of Unusual Strategy Games

About as descriptive a title as you can hope for. :-)

For any other Mac OSX user (all three of you that I know of on my friends list), it's at

Off to bed.
