Shopgirl news!

Shopgirl, one of my favorite little books of the last few years, is being made into a movie! Of course, it might very well stink, but they've cast Steve Martin (Duh!), Clare Danes, and Jimmy Fallon as three of the four characters. Dunno who the other female character (the "rival" of the titular Clare Danes character) will be played by. I've got mixed feelings about the cast. Martin will be great (aside from his underrated skill as an actor, it's also his book), and Fallon will probably be okay in his role, but I can't see Danes pulling off her part very well. *shrug* Then again, I don't think I've seen her in anything since Les Miserables a few years back, so I shouldn't underestimate her, I guess.
